A well-known English proverb says: “My home is my castle”. Really, all the ways are leading to a native house, a place where a person has an opportunity to relax, enjoy the things which he likes, communicate with the dearest and nearest, stay alone or meet friends.

A personal corner at home

A house is a place where all the members of a family get together. You are really lucky, if every person has his own room in a house or an apartment. For example, a husband is a real king at his cabinet. A wife is able to relax somewhere in her own bedroom, where nobody disturbs her during her personal businesses. The children can play in their own room (it is even better if they play in the different rooms – less noise). But anyway let's return to the Earth and think about the things critically. Every member doubtfully is able to have his own room. The matter is that the houses are usually not as large as we dream. So, once again we have to be inventive. In spite of the fact that a family is friendly and lovely, every person must have his own place for relaxing. It could be a corner, a sofa, a place at a TV set, but it is to be OWN place. It concerns both the adults and children. As for the children, if you do not have an opportunity to arrange a room for their games, make a small place somewhere in a living-room. The place is to be warm and well-lighted. It is better to warm up the floor or put a carpet on it. The equipment of this "children's corner" could be different, it depends on the age. For the teenagers a computer and shelves for the books-disks-trifles are needed. The smaller children are to have an opportunity to play actively (a wall-ladder is a good idea).

The adults need some place for themselves as well. It could be a favourite arm-chair or a special shelf in a bathroom or a bedroom. Everything depends on how many place you need for it. But this place is to be sacred. At least every person has his own treasures which he likes and values.
